Why Water Safety Matters
Water safety in dams is very important to protect people and keep our water resources safe. Safety is a shared responsibility, and we are proud to take part in creating a safer environment for everyone.
The Role of Safety Barriers
Recently, 71 new safety buoys were installed around the dam. Each buoy weighs about 150 pounds. These barriers play a big role because they:
- Keep boats at a safe distance from dangerous areas near the dam.
- Stop large debris from reaching the dam gates.
- Reduce the risk of accidents caused by getting too close to the dam.
Shared Responsibility
Water safety is not only the job of authorities. It is everyone’s responsibility. Respecting safety barriers and warning signs is a simple but very important step to protect lives and make sure our water resources last for the future.
Working Together for Safer Waters
Safety starts with awareness. By following the rules and respecting safety barriers, we can build a safer water environment for all. Together, we can protect both people and nature.
